At Janey Macey and Associates, our speech and language pathologists are dedicated to developing individual courses of treatment for your child’s individual needs.  We work with the child and the family to ensure that any therapy we begin in the office is carried over to the home as well.  Speech services begin with initial screening for communication and swallowing disorders and continue with assessment and diagnosis, consultation for the provision of advice regarding management, intervention and treatment, and provision counselling and other follow up services.

Janey, herself, is trained in PECS (Picture Exchange Communication Systems) which serves to prevent the frustration many children feel when faced with communication issues.  Using images to begin the communication process, children become calmer and more confident as they move forward.
